Geetika Goel – CTO, Jigsaw Academy

Geetika is currently the CTO at Jigsaw Academy, an online school for analytics with an overall IT industry experience of around 20 years. Prior to joining Jigsaw, she worked with Infosys in a wide spectrum of roles. She started out as a software developer working in manufacturing domain and then moved on to handling large IT projects in finance sector. She worked as a research scientist exploring various aspects of cloud computing and managed performance engineering aspects of prestigious SaaS based projects. She got a chance to handle a team on enthusiastic UI developers, but took it as an opportunity to familiarize herself with UX principles. She also took a short stint as handling IT quality, thus ensuring all arrows of software project development were within her skills quiver. Outside of Infosys, she has been an entrepreneur helping start-ups and NGOs in their “green” journey, helping children with productive environment friendly past-times and as a consulting architect and developer to a niche performance engineering firm. She holds a post graduate degree in Mathematics from IIT, Kanpur.

Vishal Devnath – SMErgers

Deepak holds a B. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. Stanley brings to the table his vast experience in the field of Direct Marketing/Retail stores (sales & operations). He currently heads the Sales at Webnish. Ravi Trivedi – Founder Pushengage

Ravi Trivedi is Founder, PushEngage.com – a leading platform globally for browser push notifications, which serves customers in 115+ countries. Prior to this, he was Founder of CouponRani.com – top coupon site in India with over 1M unique visits. He is a Digital Marketer, and a growth hacker and loves to speak on the topic and help fellow enterpreneurs. He is an active angel investor, and has made 7 investments in companies like – Explara, MechMocha, Tookitaki, VentureSity, Collatebox etc.

Before returning to India, he worked as a Principal at Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, Raleigh, an early stage Venture Capital fund in North Carolina, USA. He ran the online division of a portfolio company, where he started his digital marketer journey. Before Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, he worked as Equity Analyst with Bank of America in New York. He was part of the team that was ranked runners up in the Alpha Hedge Fund Research rankings, 2007.

He started his career as a software engineer at Hewlett Packard and has global cross-functional experience in marketing, consulting and engineering functions at Hewlett Packard. Ravi co-authored the book Web Services Security, and participated in creating web services standards. Ravi completed his MBA from Duke University, Fuqua School of Business and has a Masters in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and a Bachelors from MACT Bhopal.

A Bangalorean by birth, Parents named me Bhargavi.
VTU was kind enough to give me a Distinction in Bachelor of Engineering degree though i hardly attended college.
Was aspirant to become a VLSI Design Engineer, but because of my talkative nature, opted for HR role.
Having more than 13years of experience in this Domain, started my career with Adecco Consulting followed by Mind Search, worked as One Man Army for Asklaila and Zopnow.
Acquired skills in the following areas: Performance Management, Training, Employment Law, Employee Grievances and Employee Acquisition.
I enjoy eating and traveling.
I am a State Level Philatelist having more than 3 Lacs Stamps in my treasure.
One of my best adventurous moment was – when I underwent a 3 days training at IAF to fly Sukhoi Jet Plane.

 

Prakash – Prakash Cellular Service.

Born to poor farmer parents, Prakash grew up in poverty and hardship, in a small village of Jodhpur, Rajashtan. Prakash did poorly in school so he dropped out around the age of 15. He decided to put a lot of his time into doing business and raising his family. With basic knowledge and little money, he came to Bangalore and did chorus of electronic jobs to earn his bread and butter. He immediately felt the requirement of a electronics market and he started to visualize an electronics center.

With passion, he improved his mobile and laptop repairing abilities and he opened Prakash Cellular Service. “As students we need to guide them properly, teach them new methods of livelihood, I hadn’t felt in any other discipline, So i choose smartphone and gadget industry seriously”. Prakash cellular service is a well name in smart phone and laptop repair in Bangalore, Karnataka. In these 15 years, Prakash has changed the lives of more than 2000 students by providing them training in laptop and smartphone repair.

Deepak Shivamurthy – IT Professional

Deepak is a technology professional with around 19 years of industry experience and is engaged with several technical and managerial consulting engagements with companies like Glassbeam, AskLaila. Deepak is also presently working on a travel experience solution as part of PaveIT Solutions LLP, the company that he started recently.

Before moving out of the mainstream corporate world, he has worked with various large IT companies like Cisco, Infosys and IMR(presently CGI) for about 15 years in both technical and managerial roles.

He volunteers for Multi Dimensional Learning Space(MDLS) under the umbrella of India Literacy Project(ILP) that focuses on quality, experiential learning for children studying in rural/non-metro areas. His primary interest is in equipping teachers with basic IT knowledge to enable them teach children in an effective way. He is also engaged with AdalBdal.com, an initiative to encourage sharing and reuse of various items of everyday life that helps a bit on ecology and helps deal with clutter.

Travel being his passion, he enjoys both driving and cycling tours. He is also into wildlife and photography(novice!).

Worked for about 25+ years in Sales & Marketing, Human Resources and financial services.
Now working since 6+ years from 2010 as an Insurance Consultant and help with consumer actions of genuine complainants.
• IRDA certified Insurance Consultant since 2010 (6+ years)

• In early 2014 IRDAI decided to test knowledge of people working in insurance industry and held an All India competition, in which quiz I reached semi-finals, that is you could say top 20-30 in India.

• Launching NGO ‘i Consumer Action Group’ shortly to track IRDAI, insurers about products and explain in simple terms to public as also to action against them for Anti People policies.

I am also a Social Activist with a Human Rights & Consumer Action Group and do some social work when time permits etc; primarily helping Aged cheated by their children.
